Expressive & Performing Arts

Expressive & Performing Arts (EPA) consists of 3 departments:

  • Art

  • Drama

At Key Stage 3 EPA is taught on 10 week modules, embracing Ceramics, Textiles, Printmaking, Drawing & Painting and Drama. Music is not included in the modular cycle, but is instead taught on a weekly basis. Peripatetic instrumental lessons are available in brass, woodwind, upper strings, 'cello, keyboard, guitar and drums. More information about the Music department is given by clicking the link above.

At Key Stage 4 (GCSE courses) EPA is one of the foundation subjects. Pupils may opt for either Art, Music or Drama.

There are many opportunities for students to perform or display their work at events throughout the school year.

The report from our last OFSTED accredited the Art Department as a 'Centre of Excellence'
